A trio of bills aimed at removing some of the legal blocks on victims of child sexual abuse from being able to speak out about what happened to them is moving forward in the Missouri legislature, and area representatives are the driving forces behind the bills.
The bills are all focused on removing non-disclosure agreements (NDA) on victims of child sex abuse, so they would be able to tell their stories in court cases attempting to get justice against their abusers. The case is called “Trey’s Law” after Trey Carlock, a Kanakuk abuse victim who took his own life in 2019.
