OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – In the House, the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee has passed a bill designed to protect child victims of sexual abuse.
The “Cindy Clemishire Act,” formerly known as “Trey’s Law,” voids any settlement agreement that conceals details related to claims of child sexual abuse or child sexual exploitation.
It maintains confidentiality for victims while preventing abusers from hiding behind nondisclosure agreements.
