MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Alabama could be the latest state to pass a version of ‘Trey’s Law.’ It is a national movement towards eliminating the use of nondisclosure agreements, or NDAs, in sexual abuse cases.
Trey Carlock, a Texas native, was the victim of sexual abuse for several years. He had been forced into a settlement with his abuser that included a restrictive NDA, leading to Trey taking his own life.
